Flint has accompanied people for thousands of years. It was used for the earliest stone tools, for making fire and later as an ornament and symbolic object. One variety, striped flint, occurs only in Poland's Świętokrzyskie Mountains and is known for its distinctive light-brown pattern with darker bands. Its colouring inspired our Flint gift set.
